Project Summary:
Dollaride's premise is transportation technology solutions for communities to overcome transportation challenges, reduce local air pollution, and improve quality of life. Perch Advisors supported Dollaride in its application for the New York State Energy Research Development and Authority's (NYSERDA) Clean Transit Access Program (CTAP) which proposed electrifying dollar vans and activating electric vehicle charging stations in Brooklyn and Queens neighborhoods that have long relied on dollar van service for their transportation needs. Perch Advisors partnered with the East Flatbush Community Development Corporation and the Haitian American Caucus to convene a community engagement process to understand the needs and challenges of dollar van customers and assess overall community opinion on the electrification of dollar vans and its infrastructure. In November 2022, Dollaride was one of four companies to receive NYSERDA's CTAP support and funding.
